General stuff

So what I thought was the flu is actually an upper respiratory infection that has lain me flat since Wednesday. Hope I didn't get anyone at work sick. Seems as though my fever has finally broken, and I feel better now. Sitting in urgent care for over three hours today certainly was not helpful. As I type, I am listening to the Adele's NPR Tiny Desk concert. I so wish I could sing well, let alone as soulfully as she does.

Just downloaded the new Radiohead album, King of Limbs. It's awesome--duh.

As those of you who are my fb friends know, I got my Mustang last weekend. It is spectacularly, mind-blowing, fucking beautiful. I hugged it today after I came home from picking up my kid. I just tried to copy the picture from eBay, where I initially saw it, but can't figure out how to do it, as it the usual right-click did not work. Anyway, it's a black (exterior and interior) 2005 GT coupe. I wanted a 2005 because that model year most resembles the original Mustangs of the '60s, IMHO. I plan on spending the weekend learning how to drive it, as I never learned to drive stick. Best motivator, right? My dad drove it home when we picked it up in Long Beach, and he said the clutch is really tight and the steering is hypersensitive. Scary and fun!!!! It will be even better than when I had my '77 Camaro in college. Will keep y'all updated on this as I learn my car.

Can I just tell you guys how excited I am about baseball season starting soon???  I am thinking about doing fantasy baseball, and was looking over all of the players after spending a lot of time watching MLB network. My Giants will hopefully do well this season, keeping their heads about them despite the sheen of World Series glory.

ETA: Here are some pics of other 2005 Mustangs:
