a sad day in my life
I'm not gonna say much but I have to say something before I decide to hold it all in and just sleep until the pain goes away...
Today I found out a good friend, great man and wonderful husband to another good friend of mine died in Iraq on Monday.
Spc. Nicholas Turcotte, 23, of Maple Grove was in an armored vehicle escorting a logistics convoy when it rolled over on a road near Nasiriyah.
I've known Nick for almost 8 years, I was at both his and his wives high school graduation parties, I worked with him at Blockbuster video for about 1 year, I danced with him (and even caught the bouquet) when I attended his wedding 2 years ago, and the last time I saw or spoke to him and his wife Jen was just the week before my own wedding last year.
I might say more about what I'm feeling later on, but that's all for now.
