Why do I always update about work?
So, today started out HORRIBLY (after a wonderful morning by myself, 3 cups of coffee an Oprah)
I get to work and find out that another associate totally FUCKED UP what I had set in place on Monday as far as this one order was concerned (too long to explain the whole situation). Then I called a customer and had her husband answer who thought I was a woman on the phone. Yeah--- great fucking start to a day. I also knew that I was having a little mini review with Michelle, my manager today, which didn't excite me.
So, the day sucked until I had my meeting, and I felt SO GOOD after my meeting. I got a lot of things off my chest, and I know that Michelle totally listened to everything I said and she also took notes and is going to take my ideas to the general manager..... she also is going to try and make sure that I'm part of the next "coffee talk" where we get to speak directly to out GM in a small group to voice our opinions, concerns, etc. On top of all that I asked her about my commission and if it all got worked out. She told me that it had, and she wasn't sure when I would get the lump sum but to expect it soon.
So, I looked on insite (federated's website for its employees), and discovered that my lump sum commission will be in FRIDAY'S CHECK!!!! Yes, that's right, my next paycheck is about $50 short of $1,000!!!! WOO HOO!!! That's fucking amazing!!! So IKEA, here we come....... we're gonna get a bed frame!
So, after that, my day got much better, and I feel like I barely worked all day!
