I remember a time when you would get your Big Day Out ticket for a Christmas present and your parents only had to buy it a few days before - never an event to sell out after a week on sale. I also remember a time when you simply waltzed through the gates of Splendour in the Grass flashing your ticket to a smiling staff member, without having to show a ticket matching an ID with your name spelt exactly as printed on the ticket and without being interrogated about your bottle of Mount Franklin water being a disguise for Vodka. But there’s none of that anymore.
Oh well, I have my ticket…and my dancing shoes and I get to see The Killers.
