On a happy note. Except for the fact the surgery was delayed, everything went well. We had to be at the hospital @ 11:30 am. At 1:15 pm, I was getting a little annoyed, so I went and asked if they had forgotten about my husband. Turns out the doctor was behind...They told us to go ahead and leave and come back in 2 hours. We went to Old Navy, and Erroll went crazy at the clearance rack again. The total came to about 75 dollars, but we got two sweatshirts, a purse for Liv, a coat, and several shirts for Erroll...I'd say we did pretty well.

We got back to the outpatient surgery waiting room a little before 3:30-they said that it would be even longer. We sat down and Erroll's dad arrived. He was quite surprised to see Erroll. Well, just about 20 minutes later they called Erroll back. Turns out the guy that was scheduled before him, for some reason the operating room wasn't equipped for his surgery and since Erroll's was a quicker surgery, they bumped him up...cool!

Opa and I went to the cafeteria, since I had been fasting for a blood test and didn't want to eat in front of Erroll. Opa bought me a burger and a diet soda. It wasn't bad. We sat and talked about his parents and grandparents. It's a long story, but I think I'll wait 'til tomorrow to tell that story.

After an hour, we headed back to the waiting room...just in time, we were there about 5 minutes and a nurse came in and gave me Erroll's prescription to get filled. We had five minutes before the pharmacy closed...we raced downstairs and, YES, the door was still open. Opa waited for the meds and I went back upstairs to wait for them to let me into Erroll's room.

Shortly after Opa got back with the meds, they called us back to Erroll's room. Within 20 minutes we were out of there. He was in a little pain, but he's had his drugs and he seems to be sleeping pretty good right now. Tammy, my sister, made him his favorite coconut cream pie and Liv and Ash came over and spent some time with him. I know he enjoyed having Heidi sit with him for so long today-it warms my heart to watch Heidi and her dad sitting there holding hands. I think all the kids went in and spent time with their dad, I know they were concerned about him today.

I was going to post about some lyrics on Heidi's journal, but right now I'm just too tired and I want to go to bed with my sleeping hubby.
