Dr. House flies the friendly skies.
This was a breezy, lightweight episode more interested in putting the characters in new situations than high medical drama. House's team was under Wilson's considerably more polite administration. Meanwhile, House drafted himself a brand-new set of underlings on the plane as Cuddy went from boss to patient.
There was also a meaty role for a hooker. At first she seemed a little scummy for picking up the money after not having actually rendered any services. But I figure she earned at least some of it for being willing to stick around at the hospital as long as she did.
The ending was very satisfying. It was funny to watch the flight attendant see about getting herself a little House. And it was awesome to watch Wilson looking for some hooker action. And I definitely welcome the breakup of Dr. Chase and Dr. Cameron. Yeah, yeah, I'm pretty sure they won't stay apart forever, but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy a respite.
I was really hoping for a nice, solid Airplane! reference. I'm not counting the food poisoning theory or House's wish to land the plane himself. I mean something like Macho Grande, or maybe gladiator movies.
