Dr. Foreman takes a stab at figuring out what life-threatening illness he has contracted.
Specifically, he stabbed Cameron with a needle to remove any reason she had to not go back into the apartment of the dying cop suffering from the same disease. I can certainly understand that desperate people do desperate things, but Cameron really needs to pop Foreman in the jaw when this is all over with.
Because of Foreman's disintegrating condition, he got a larger share of the episode's good lines. I especially liked it when he was hassling the cop with winners such as, "We'll have you back scaring the crap out of people in no time."
I loved it when House tried to use his disability to get his tickets fixed ... his SPEEDING tickets. And he smirked gloriously as he stood in mock-awe of Foreman's rather extensive knowledge of firearms. I also enjoyed House's experiment with the corpse (and Dr. Cuddy's subsequent complaint).
It sure would have been appropriate if Foreman were suffering from Cryptococcus neoformans, wouldn't it?
I was a little disappointed to see that even the producers of House had to indulge in the hoary TV cliche of slapping an obnoxious blue filter on the screen during the cop's opening scene. Like I wouldn't have known he was a cop otherwise?
Dr. Wilson was weirdly absent from this episode. His character had really been getting a lot of focus lately, but here, he showed up two-thirds of the way through to absorb a little abuse from House and wander off.
