033. canon update [voice]
[Olive is writing in her diary and speaking aloud to help herself collect her thoughts.]
Dear Diary. Yesterday was ... was ... interesting. Yeah. Interesting. I know I told you already about the Norwie - no, that doesn't look right - Norwee - no, that either - [sound of erasing] the people from Norway. Well, I pretended to - oh, gosh, what's the word? Defunct? No! Defect! - defect to their side so I could dig up some dirt on them, and maybe shock Ned, Chuck, and Emerson into letting me into their little club. [She snorts.] Not that it worked.
[Erasing.]
Anyway, they suspected that Ned might have killed Mr. Dixon, and of course I didn't want Ned persecuted, so lucky me he happened to hop into their Mother - who calls their van their mother, by the way, that's weird - and helped me hijack it. We ... kind of ended up driving it off a cliff. And Diary, this is the part that kills me, just kills me! So we're hanging off this cliff, about to die, and I told Ned that -
[A pause. Noises in the background. Her voice is fainter.]
Hi, Chuck! Welcome home! You got the groceries? Thank you! I'll be out in a sec, I'm not decent!
[Back, her voice is lower and her words are more hurried.]
I told Ned that my only regret was that he never looked at me the way he looked at her. And then he says, "I wouldn't say never!" How was I supposed to react to that?! Either he loves me or he doesn't, and I wish he'd just ... just stop!

[Scribbling noises as she hurriedly dates the entry and closes her diary, the small lock clicking closed, then rustling as she puts it back in her bedside drawer.]
