so this is the new year, and i don't feel any different...
So I've officially been home six days and i still have yet to unpack everything when i was in wickliffe last week. it's just such a pain in the ass. my room is a major shit storm and i have zero motivation to put it all away and then start to pack for florida. maybe tomorrow will be my day of productivity. hell, i haven't even put my flannel sheets on yet.
last week at home wasn't too bad. i did the usual bitch work at my mom's office and then put in enough hours at regal to once again remind me that i'm ok with being 60k in the hole after i'm done with school with a job that i enjoy. i won't deny the fact that i had a good time working though...it's fun to be informed of all the gossip you miss out on and shit like that. and it's even more fun to make fun of defenseless 17 year olds that work there. karma's gonna kick me in the ass one of these days. but in all seriousness, i hate new people that don't pick up on the fact that i'm not new. don't tell me somethings going to overflow. and definately don't bitch at me when i'm helping you out with something and you get butter grease on your shirt. you work at a movie theater. it's going to happen eventually. and i'll rip you a new one behind your back, so don't worry about it. dumb bitches.
new years eve was amazing. we didn't even have plans so we decided to just have our own party the night before. it was tacofest 2007, thats for sure. and then other people showed up and the girls next door came over for a little bit and we had some randoms show up and it was just nuts. i gave wine another chance and it was apparently a really good decision. it just makes me sad that once i've got a real job, new years is the only real excuse for adults to party whereas now i just use the whole "i'm a college student" thing and thats why it's perfectly excusable to still be drunk at 11am. only three more semesters :(
my new years resolution? to never be boring like i was last year [well, the beginning of last year]. and to lose 50ish pounds [which is very obtainable providing i don't get pneumonia like i did last year]
i went to apply for food stamps today but i couldn't because you have to pay to park and guess who has no money. oh, that'd be me. i'm still waiting for 5/3 to reverse all the charges that were their fault so i can finally have all my money back. it's seriously been since before thanksgiving that my account hasn't been all out of whack. long story short, i'm never using my debit card at Spotlight Graphics [which is a printing place here] again and i'm switching my bank to national city. (colleen, i'll have that check in the mail to you as soon as this all gets taken care of....hopefully in the next week. message me your address when you get a change because i don't have it afterall)
my plane tickets have officially been purchased so this Vegas trip is really happening. although booking the tickets was more stressful than scheduling classes, but man i can't wait. going to vegas we have a 6am flight and coming home it's a 7am flight, so that should be loads of fun.
i leave for florida on saturday morning and hopefully the weather will be great like it's been the past couple years. a week of relaxation, sitting poolside in 75 degree sunny weather before 16 weeks of straight up hell.
