okay so i have to say that one of the coolest things ever happened to me last night
i have to start at the beginning... on july 18th
erin, chrissy, scott and I went to the dear hunter show in boston in july and talked to casey (former treos singer) and told him that we thought he should change the lyrics of smiling swine to "the moon is right" instead of "the mood is right". he promised to sing it at the providence show if we all came again.
of course, we all showed up at the providence show plus meAghan and he DID NOT SING smiling swine even after he pinky promised erin.
so we stayed after once again and gave him crap for it. the minute i said who we were he looked at me, clearly remembering. he told us to wait 2 minutes and said "is acoustic okay?"
TIME OUT.... YES
and we followed him to the burger king parking lot across the street from the living room and sat down on the sidewalk next to his car and he started singing, along with segan, a really nice/cute guy that meaghan is probably going to marry. he changed "mood" to "moon" and we sang along.
afterwards he asked for requests and continued singing the beatles, including hey jude and rocky raccoon.
so here we are, listening to casey's amazing voice and laughing and joking with him... as if he was just a regular guy.. which i guess he is, but he's a musical genius.
he was so nice, and so amazing... i can't get over it. i couldn't have asked for more.
