An eventful day
Many different things kept yesterday interesting.
- The first lab meeting where I think I gave someone a suggestion that might actually be useful
- A Dr's appointment where he mostly just kept asking about quals, and told me that I would pass (and that he's never been wrong before)
- Playing hooky for a bit to go with George to the farmer's market and got pastries
- Using my secret new ice cream maker (bought yesterday) to surprise George with some burnt honey ice cream
- Running the furthest I've run with George so far (15 min!), and I think we ran past another Mudd alumna at some other Boston school
- Breaking my glasses in a way I can't fix :(
- Saving the dorm from imminent destruction (haha, ok maybe not so imminent-- we smelled smoke out of my window, went to investigate, and found a trash can a few feet from the building with smoke and flames shooting up. I knew the number to call (I guess MIT police has done a good job of advertising).)
- Putting up decals in my room to make a big cherry blossom branch on a blighted area of my wall (has always had a bunch of ugly tape marks)
