I love having our home filled with happy friendly people. We had another fabulous La Belle Compagnie meeting/workshop/gathering at our place and continued making progress on preparations for the spring reenactor show season. Thank you, as always, for a great weekend!

Last night I noticed that Edward's jammies smelled like woodsmoke. Having a campfire was great. We're trying to figure out where to put a fireplace in our kitchen. :-)

(Probably a woodburning stove in the basement.)

My friend greycalico in upstate New York has a modern, ultra-efficient wood pellet stove in his basement, I was asstonished how effectively it heat his home.

Does it smell as good as the one in your kitchen? It's all about the smell. :-)

Hmmm... mostly yes.

It smells a little different, but that all depends on the wood you are burning.
I think we lucked into a run of cherry tree the day you came over, and that wass blind luck.
