It is astonishingly cold and I have not even headed to Rome, NY to visit Mom yet... where it is even colder!
Hoping my refurbished
12" PowerBook G4 gets here in time to make the trip with me. Fedex is moving, but slowly. Everything else I ordered to go with it is already here, even though I ordered the extra stuff later. Sigh. Guess I should not complain too much, as it's amazing we can get stuff around the world so quickly anyway.
The new (wired)
MightyMouse from Apple is the first Apple branded mouse I have ever liked. I am still unsure if I like my Macally
iOptiJr more or not - the Macally iOptiJr has better feel in my hand, and I like the two physical buttons, but the micro-trackball (aka "nipple") on the MightyMouse is just plain awesome! I prefer wired because I hate dealing with batteries, and both these fine mice are optical for easy use on pretty much any surface.
sutragirl and I are now owners of a couple of G-Tech
G-Drives for backups and alternate install images. They are external drives for backup, but packaged in exceptionally sleek and sexy enclosures.
This will pretty much complete our home LAN and computer upgrades for a while. Mom gets
sutragirl's old "fower pot"
iMac and our old
Belkin 4 port hub/firewall/router. I am headed to New York State to set up Mom's LAN, new computer, and visit family.
