College. What a joy! I love it. And I really can't believe I am here. Living the life of a college student. Having my own dorm/suite, and a pretty tight roommate. It's been one week and one day since I left home, and I am truly happy with the way the week turned out. Classes started, I get to hang out with my sister consistantly, and I've gotten into rock climbing. Which truly is addicting. Unfortunately I am still not to good at it, but meh. Praciticing is the best way to get better. I do, however, enjoy caming and hiking more. I've found that throughout all of my highschool time I never really did things that intrested me. My sister was in California so I had no one to hang out with in the mountains and such. But now, I see her everyday and I've found some great people to hang out with.
My roommate is pretty sweet. She is 20 and we live in a HUGE room with 2 living rooms, a shower, sleeping quarters, 2 study rooms, and a bathroom. So it is pretty much an apartment on campus. Food is good. I have lunch with my sister every weekday because we both don't have class then.
Speaking of class. I love it. Everything to do with them. They are soooo intresting, so I actually enjoy doing the reading and homework. I am taking Mus 104, which is an intro to beginning music studies. Mus 144, which is first year theory. Art 101, intro to western art. And Mus 267, which is college choral. Super fun and very musically invovled. The classes are pretty hard, with lodas of reading everynight. But I think I might be able to manage it. I have to study my piano though, which I have been quite reluctant to do, so far. Mainly because I was and still am a little apprehensive to go into the music room. I dont feel like I belong there yet, but I guess everything will slowly fall into place as time goes on.
Right now, I am waiting for the parentals to come up and drop off my bike and the rest of the things that I forgot at home. Which (just between me and you) is a lot of stuff. Since my room is bigger than I thought it was going to be, I didnt bring any of my books. But Now, I can have ALL of them, which makes me really happy, as they are my babies. And I can't wait to start reading some of the classical books that I've boughten many months and years ago. Woop woop! I have more updateing to do, but as of right now, I need to read a couple of chapters in my Art History book. Toodles!!!!
