Today has been so cold!
So so cold!
So cold that it's been snowing in Ballarat and the Dandenongs (which rarely happens).
On the bright side, there was glorious rain!!!!! Well, it wasn't glorious, it was windy, cold and wet rain (yup... rain is wet), and I had to be out in it for WW and grocery shopping.
Rebekah didn't sleep all morning (makes me wonder if it's worth taking her pram up the flight of WW stairs or if I should just carry her) so I took her out shopping after. It was a big morning and we did well not getting very wet. At one point we were stuck under the shop awnings while it hailed and hailed.
Rebekah has a rash under her neck and she's been scratching it. She had a big cry this morning when I dressed her (cos she couldn't scratch no doubt) so I went to the chemist, bought her some cream, bought her some new bath 'soap' (non-allergy stuff) and also got some new sensitive skin washing powder. Hope that all helps because she is such a good baby (as everyone at WW keeps telling me--at least she WAS good there! :P) and I hate to see her annoyed by anything other than Mat.
I was also naughty and bought Rebekah a
little toy from the chemist. She was playing with one at the DORE centre the other day and it was fascinating to see her working it out. Mat used to love them as a toddler and he never owned one, so since it didn't cost too much, now Rebekah has one :)
My WW meeting was at 9.30am, and we didn't get home until 12.45pm. I just do not know where the day went!
I find it weird that it's been raining lately on the two days of the week that we're allowed to hand water our plants. Saves us doing that tho I suppose. I have reminders set in Outlook because the narrow windows of time where you can water stuff comes and goes before I realise.
Apparently we SHOULD be on Stage 4 water restrictions (we're only on 3 now), but they are holding off for the election in 11 days. *rolls eyes*
I wonder what Stage 4 entails if we can only hand water our plants two days a week now. Danny has been putting Rebekah's bathwater on his plants at times :P
I bought Danny two strawberry plants today. After pulling up that big weed the other week he's been lamenting that the strawberries he planted have not come up, so I thought I'd do this for him. I got tips from the lady on how to plant strawberry seeds (although it doesn't matter now!) so I think I can see where Danny would've gone wrong. I bought him Tioga strawberries which are big like in the supermarket and Alinta, which are longer and they yield fruit all year round. So I hope they will have good suck up value for when he finds out I bought Bekah that toy ;)
