Whiew. Its going to be a rough time here I just have to stay awake all week and I get a short break at the Race, before finals.
So the next 10 days will be brutal, but then I will be done. =)
In other news, things are looking up. I was in Lake Stevens Washington on Saturday to race for the conference championship against UPS, PLU, Wilamette, Western Washington University, Humbolt. It was a beautiful day of racing that went from 8 am till 3 pm. The whole list of results would take way too long, and i actually don't know exactly how the Women's crew did for Lewis and Clark. I do know that everyone went and pulled some damn good races. Amazingly enough, out of all those crews I listed above, Lewis and Clark Men's crew managed to take a stunning SECOND PLACE in the overall conference standings! It was unreal. We made Lewis and Clark Crew history. Never before has a Lewis and Clark crew team - since the team became varsity - managed to take second place overall at conference. The Men's varsity 8 race (my boat) took second place and only got edged out by UPS by 9 seconds. The Men's Novice 8, and novice 4 took first place in each of their races, which was unheard of! They destroyed the competition. Finally the men's team put out two 4s to race, A varsity 4, and a JV 4. The varsity 4 did not do real well (6 out of 8) but the JV 4 took 3rd out of 8. On another note, the Novice Women's 4s (there were two) managed to take a third place, and a 1st place. Three years ago I would never have dreamed this possible. Lewis and Clark Crew was on the bottom of the pack for everything. Now, we are nearing the top - in just three short years. I can't wait to see just how much faster we will be next year. =)
Anyway, I really should go back to working on that list I mentioned at the beginning. I will post after I am done.......if I survive. ;)
