Happy Thanksgiving!!!
Well, I am back, and yes i am working on another paper...but whatever.
Things in Scotland are fantastic. All of us LC people are having a big thanksgiving dinner with people from Britain so they can join in on the massive chow down of turkey, and it should be grand. On the whole, things with me have gotten better. I finished one of my 10 page papers, and i am almost done with another one. I am finally getting over a cold that has plagued me for the last 2 weeks or so, and i feel like i am really getting into the swing of things again. It just sucks that i am going to have to leave here soon. Don't get me wrong, i want to come home and see everyone again, but i am really not ready to start thinking about leaving yet. I am not ready to start thinking about christmas, or even travel after my trip ends. It is crazy, but one semester is definitely not enough time. I feel like i am only just now getting to know people well enough to make decent friends here and am finally comfortable enough here to live well. The frustrating bit, is that a longer stay here would of course mean more time away from friends back home, which also sucks. sigh, i guess i will just have to come back....
on another note, i have found out that i can survive on my own. I can actually cook for myself and not eat simply frozen, canned, or boxed foods. Admitedly, i have been eating an awful lot of steak.....but then, i am not really complaining about that either. =) The only thing missing is a real BBQ grill....
Ok, I guess i will stop procrastinating and finally get back to work. Again though, Happy Thanksgiving to all, and good luck with all the things that come along with the end of a semester.
p.s. The Cold Mountain Soundtrack is really excellent, and i highly reccomend that you check it out if you havn't already.
