NH '06
Just got back from North Conway with Mike, my mom and james. my family goes to this place every year cause all my moms nursing friends meet up. It's cute cause they've been going to this place and hanging out once a year since they were in nursing school together. anyway, it was really fun this year but kind of sad at the same time because it might be my last year going for a while, depending on where i go to college. at the end when everyone was leaving they gave me a group hug and it was kind of sad to say goodbye to them, but this weekend was still hilarious. this is beastly, so you won't want to read it, but i wanna remember this later, so weekend under the cut:
Friday we left school at 10:30 and then drove back to my house to get ready and pack and stuff. We left my house at around 12:30 and got there at about 4 because we stopped to eat. we were the first ones there, so we went down to this little river across the street from the inn we stay at and looked around. it's the same every year, but we always find stuff to do. after we got bored we went back up to the inn and said hi to everyone that had arrived. then we went out to this little pub for dinner and came back to the inn. for the rest of the night we basically just watched movies on tv because johnny (16) and kevin (14) weren't coming until the next day and andrew(16) and josh(14) don't come until like, 12 am. so i went to bed at like 11 cause i'm wicked cool like that.
saturday we woke up went back down to the river for a little bit. james randomly decides he wants to get to the other side by wading through the freezing, raging water. halfway through he just falls on his face and gets soaked. so i have to run back to the inn and sneak past the parents to get a towel, but they catch me while i'm going back outside. my mom just laughs cause james is running across the street half naked at this point. after that the parents all decided to go shopping and i just drove all the kids around. being in that car was possible the funniest driving experience i've ever had in my life. example: we blasted flave's new alubm and rolled all the windows down so the old new hampshire-ites could give us dirty looks. the movie theater we wanted to go to GOT TORN DOWN so we just went shopping instead. best find of the day: the 5 and 10 cent store. we went in there and bought the most rediculous stuff we could find. the boys all got insane hats; mike and james got viking hats so they could look like flave, and andrew got this chicken hat, which he proceded to wear when we went to the 99 for lunch. it was josh's 14th birthday, so we got the people to sing him happy bday. after lunch we were still bored so we went to walmart haha. i think everyone bought little cap guns so they could have a war later. after that we finally went back to the inn and johnny and kevin had just gotten there. so we went back down the river again and established teams on either side of the river. mike, james and andrew were on one side, and me, kevin, johnny and josh were on the other side. basically the other team built a wall out of sticks and we threw branches and logs back and forth at each other trying to hit people. definately hurts to get a tree branch to the face. but then we had to go back to the inn cause it was too dark to see anything we josh almost fell into the river. we had a really good dinner and then played hide and seek and had a scavenger hunt for no reason. we had to play trivial pursuit with the parents until i wanted to commit suicide, then watched more movies. we all went to bed at around 1 cause we had to be up early today to leave.
today we got up and...went down to the river. we continued our war, and the beastly kevin threw a stick in one shot and knocked their hole wall over. then we just kept throwing stuff back and forth at each other and i got beamed in the head/back several times. the parents came and got us after about an hour and told us everyone was leaving. we took our picture in front of the sign outside the inn and then said goodbyes. all the old women were getting all emotional over me going to college and possibly not coming back. it was a little sad, but hopefully if i get in where i want i won't have to miss it next year. so we all said goodbye and took pics then packed it up. we got home at around 2:30 and i've been hanging out all day.
i should probably read the entire book of jane eyre, or at least spark note it now, but i really don't care. oh yeah, i should probably study for ap gov, socilogy, and marine because i have tests/quizzes in all of those subjects tomorrow or tuesday. instead, i think i'm just going to keep you-tubing random crap and listening to blowing me up (with her love) by jc. i'll post pics when i get a chance which should be soon cause of the 2 1/2 day week :)
