Neat Stories
Two cool stories happened that I felt like sharing without burning a lot of your time and still giving you the lowdown on the African Landscaping of missionary work, so here they are.
People here really enjoy talking the few words of english they know when we walk by, so we always here… “What is name? You are fine? And you?” And other such nonsense phrases. With that background… we were visiting a member and while we were leaving some rap come on someone’s radio. Our member friend said… (speaking Portuguese) “Ah, Eu gosto de ‘Rape’.” (I like Rape) Me and my companion stopped… looked at each other and smiled. My companion said “Você gosta de Rape? (you like Rape?).”
Member : “Sim, Gosto, Eles Fazem muito Rape nas estados Unidos”(Yeah, They do/make a lot of rape in the united states).
Companion : “Ahh, só os Negros fazem Rape lá.”(Oh, it’s only the blacks that make rape there).
Member : “Muitos Negros fazem rape, mas Que Tal Eminem, ele também faz muito rape”(A lot of blakes make rape, but what about eminem, he also does a lot of rape).
Companion : “Um dia eu também gostaria de fazer Rape” (One day, I too would like to make rape)
Member : “Seria Bom” (that would be good)
On another note, I was also offered a granddaughter in marriage the other day because of my whiteness. I liked that. It made me feel good. (and she was actually a really attractive 17 year old - perfect for here, because of there incredible fast aging cycles). Yeah. We were offered in her presence too. Before a lesson. Awesome. That needs to happen more often.
