"Define Me If You Dare"

Feb 07, 2008 21:56

So, I just started to write a new original story that I plan to post to fictionpress.com in the future, and I'd like to plaster the information that I have in my journal. Just for the heck of it.

I'll give you a taste...

He’s a genius. She’s failing Physics and Math.
He goes unnoticed at school. She’s the center of attention.
He wants to have what she has. She wants to have what he has.
When Gabriella is partnered with Peter for a Physics lab, will their lives as they know it be changed forever?

Picture a "scene" girl and an adorable & cute but not look-at-me-I'm-cute kind of cute guy that is pretty much a genius, high IQ, et cetera. Just picture that for a minute. Picture how different they are. How different the people they hang out with are.

Now read the character information if YOU dare.

Gabriella Parke [natural silvery blonde hair, side sweep bangs, pin-straight and shiny -- pale but glowing complexion -- hazel eyes -- slender figure, not very curvy, sort of like a runway model‘s figure -- high cheekbones -- thin lips -- nicely arched eyebrows that take little to no maintenance -- about 5‘7“ in height -- almost fragile-looking but very elegant and graceful -- lip and eyebrow piercing] is part of the scene crowd. Anyone who can bleach their hair blonde or silver or dye it crazy colors like pink or cotton candy blue, anyone that wears heavy eye make-up, anyone attractive, or anyone that knows how to have fun is in. But what if Gabby wants to be known for just her looks and rebellious personality? What if she starts to fall out of the idea of her immature boyfriend, Zac Cooper, and is starting to grow up to realize that the way you dress or style your hair does not define who you are?

Peter Lamport [tidy straight dark brown hair, sometimes his bangs get in his eyes but later on Gabby smiles and messes it up and says it looks “hot” like that -- prominent facial structure, and his eyebrows compliment his cheekbones nicely -- sometimes wears glasses, sometimes wears contacts -- not tan but not pale, somewhere in between -- “eyes the color of the ocean, glittery sparkles casting on them by the sun,” says Gabby, meaning a mix of blues, grays, and sparkling green -- not exactly a weight-lifting champion, but he has toned muscles due to track and activities in the weight room after school -- hard and pronounced jaw line -- exactly 6’0” tall] is just the kid who answers all the questions right in school. He has one good friend, Finn Aldridge, who he constantly must stick up for when the jocks make fun of him. With the mind of a genius, you’d think that the guy would know when a girl is trying to flirt with him. But when it comes to women, Peter is as clueless as a cheerleader at an anime convention. So picture his shock when Finn tells him that Gabby, a girl he had thought to be mindless and shallow, was looking at him “that way” in Physics.

Zac Cooper [6’1” in height -- scene -- straight, dyed black hair that covers his grayish brown eyes -- slender but slightly built -- attractive face -- the one all the scene girls want to hug hello and good-bye] is Gabby’s boyfriend of seven months. He’s always lived across the street from her a few houses down, and she’s known him since before his parents got divorced and his older sister offensively called him a fruitcake in eighth grade. When Gabby’s boyfriend is told by Gabby that he’s falling into history romantically and that she’s maturing, he accuses her of becoming boring and part of the crowd. Later, they make up but decide to remain friends.

Alexandra Weich [long pink hair with streaks of red and black and bleach blonde -- chocolate brown eyes -- black eyebrows that compliment her eyes nicely, especially with all the eyeliner she wears -- 5’4” in height -- thin, but has more curves than her best friend, Gabby, which makes her a target for any guy looking for something pretty -- fun-loving and carefree -- slightly more rebellious than Gabby, which Zac likes about her] is Gabby’s best friend. They share a taste in boys, music, clothing, and passion for rebellion against school rules. Alex is always the life of the classroom, even if teachers don’t see her charm upon first glance (the hair puts them off). Of course, Alex is the one that gets drunk at parties, dances on coffee tables, secretly pierces her tongue and belly button, and realizes she takes Gabby for granted, expecting her to hold her bright pink hair back when she vomits in the toilet.

Finn Aldridge [5’10” in height -- milky complexion -- slightly scrawny -- reddish brown hair, sort of curly but not overly so -- undefined, though most would say he’s a dork even though he really wasn’t that dorky when you got to know him -- very light colored freckles on his nose only -- thin lips -- dimples] is Peter’s best friend. He is the main target for the jerks at school who think they’re the most amazing things to walk through the halls of said school. This is where Peter comes to the rescue, and when he does this, they stop because Peter is mostly respected because he‘s never been anything but nice, helpful, and there for anyone. Irish in descent. Finn tends to carry a larger quantity of books than other students, claiming that his locker is too far away from his classes and he rarely gets to stop at it. Finn surprisingly reads the opposite sex better than his friend Peter, which later impresses Alexandra Weich.

Hannah Balen [light brown hair, shoulder length and layered, mild bangs -- not tan nor pale -- 5’5” -- wears contacts, which makes her blue eyes even clearer and prettier -- cute face that gets rounder when she smiles] sometimes is the subject of Peter’s small talk, simply because they are both quite smart and quiet. Although Hannah is clever and intelligent, her intellect is nowhere close to Peter’s genius. They usually partner together in class labs but sometimes works with Finn in a group of three, too. Although Hannah is shy and quiet, she will stand up for what she believes in when the moment calls for it. Maybe she’d even defend a cute boy named Zac when he needed it and she happened to be walking by.

There will be other (minor) characters, too, but these are the ones that are important.

And yeah, I know they all sound kind of Mary-Sue and Gary-Stu like (except for Finn) but I tried to put in some imperfections here and there. What imperfections some lack in looks they make up for in personality. Trust me.

There is some spoiler-ish content in this post, I know. I had to get my ideas down before I lost them, though. Some of this may be more confusing to you than to me, but that's only because the connections are in my mind. Don't waste any of your time trying to find that Sharpie and connect the dots. Just wait for me to write this story. Which, by the way, I am doing for fun. There's no way an idea such as this could ever get published, so I'm doing this simply for pleasure. I'm taking Stephanie Meyer's word for it and writing what I like, not what I think others would like. Although, that would be nice. But this is for me. *smiles*
