I heard that this lets us talk to everybody in town, and I was wondering if anybody has a suit and hat I might be able to borrow. [Does she sound overly chipper? Just a bit; if you listen very carefully, it's obvious that it's being faked. She doesn't want to tip off any drones that she might be up to

[She sounds nice enough, but he wants to at least make an effort to check if she wants it for nefarious purposes. He doesn't want to wind up getting framed. ]

I can probably lend it to you, but what do you need it for?

Can you lock these phone conversations? If not, I would be more comfortable explaining in person.

I only know how to call..I can't quite wrap my head around locking the thing.

I don't know, I'm not very good with stuff like that. I don't have a problem with meetin' in person, if you think that'd be easier.

[ There's a pause as he tries to recall it. ]

I'll be there in a few minutes.

[She hangs up, and just as she said, appears at his door about ten minutes later, and knocks quietly.]

[ooc: I LOVE FIRO I got so excited when you tagged me. I apologize for the delayed reaction.]

[ He takes a quick peek out the window before answering the door. ]

Come on in.

[ooc: I'm glad! I get really nervous tagging people sometimes. Kind of interesting, Hawkeye's my favorite from FMA.]

[She follows him inside after glancing behind her, quiet.]

The gentleman in the hardware store won't even speak to me if I go dressed like this.

[ He laughs ]

The drones are a real pain, huh? Whaddaya need from there?

[She speaks quietly--just in case there were someone in the house.]

A weapon.

[She isn't sure where he is from, but knows that there are several people here who might find her insane for revealing that she wants a gun.] I'm not comfortable asking someone to get it on my behalf, leaving this as my only option.

[ Lucky for her, his line of work has taught him that nobody is prepared without a weapon. But it does make sense not to want to say that over the phones; the drones would probably find it scandalous. ]

Oh, I get it. If you just wait here I'll get'cha what you need. Suit and hat, right?

[Her expression hasn't changed much since she's come in, but the look of relief is obvious as she bows.]

Yes, please, that should suffice to hide my gender long enough to get to the store and back...

[She closes her eyes, thinking of how much more comfortable she will feel having a gun with her, even if it's hidden and she never uses it.] I can't thank you enough.

[ He smiles ]

No problem.

[ Then he dashes up the stairs, returning moments later with a hastily bundled pair of trousers and jacket, a hat perched precariously on the bundle. ]

Here ya go.

[She takes the bundle carefully, thinking.] Would...it be possible for me to change here?

[The gears are clearly turning.] Walking out my own front door as someone different might be too obvious. The drones come off as oblivious, but I doubt even they could miss that. And this way, I can be sure I look at least remotely convincing.

[ He can't help but be impressed; he never would've thought of that. ]

Sure. I think all these houses are built the same, so the bathroom should be in the same place as it is in your house.

If you'll excuse me, then.

[She heads to the bathroom, changing quickly. As she's headed back out to the main hall, she's clipping her hair up and carefully tucking it under the hat he'd given her. For a moment, she doesn't speak, thinking of how she might convincingly lower her voice. Finally, in a voice a bit lower than her own.]

Do you think this will do?

[After a moment's pause, she adds:] I haven't introduced myself. [She bows thankfully, smartly putting a hand on the hat to keep it from falling off.] Riza Hawkeye.
