minor major.

Today was a bad day for two reasons:

1) There were no lessons.
2) I had to run 2.6km for the Road Run, and the last time I ran like this was last August.

After the run I had half a complimentary cup of 100 Plus at room temperature. Runs generally are a reminder of how damned lazy I can be when it comes to keeping myself healthy. I do not need to be reminded that health=wealth but I've always had the mentality of choosing to consume less rather than to do more exercise, which speaks volumes about my enthusiasm. I have no idea how could people find pleasure from exercise. I suppose there must be something satisfactory about completing 5km without cramping a muscle or bursting a blood vessel.

There is no me in the picture but a sea of common colours.

There are actually more people on the podium besides the pair in white.

And now, we are running.

The House flags. My House is Terra: the green one. The ones holding the flags are House Captains who run with every batch of students right to the school gate before returning to the parade square where this was taken.

My legs still feel fine, but I know I will have some trouble getting out of bed come tomorrow morning. Ugh. Scorching day today. I wish for more clouds to obscure the sun's rays. My room retains all the heat from facing the sunlight all afternoon long so I have to draw the curtains before I can even do some work. To worsen things some photographs from my penpal arrived in the mail today from chilly Russia, and now I feel like sitting in the refridgerator.

And I have discovered this morning my room walls were not made for poster displays. They must be coated with non-stick paint or something similar. I had finally put up the Inglourious Basterds and Sherlock Holmes ones last night on the wall next to my bed, and I woke up with them on my blankets. I used tape but I'm not sure if Blu Tack will work.
Au Revoir Simone is coming to Singapore for the Mosaic Music Festival two weeks from now. I read about it from the newspapers and now I'm trying to get tickets. I'm not that familiar with the keyboard band, but knowing them as a keyboard band, they sound better by the minute, especially after Fallen Snow.
