(no subject)
yesterday night i left my house to take a brisk walk and came back three hours later after taking some wrong turns and happening on a smallish suburban lake and lying down on the sidewalk and looking for orion through the film of clouds while keeping an eye out for suvs and exploring the paths between the greens and some more mild trespassing.
today i fixed myself roast beef sandwiches while clueless was on tv, and the ladies of the family joined me so we could collectively channel our whiny/lovable fifteen-year-old selves.
(although technically, dani was that self a year ago.)
dani was sprawled on the couch, my mom was nibbling cheese, and i was spreading mustard during the tiff over paul rudd, when brittany murphy shut down alicia silverstone, saying she was "a virgin who can't drive."
"just like you!" my mom intoned happily.
