memo to webster
my friend jordan proves he has great potential in the dictionary business:
"I have coined a new phrase. Please start spreading it. But don't forget where you heard it.
African AIMerican (n.) One who talks really ghetto online but doesn't in person and is not black.
ex: I talked to Janet online and she kept saying things like "hate the playa not the game", and "I got so many karats I'm a fuckin' vegetarian", and "bitches call me Horse, the pussy filla". But then I saw her at lunch and she was all quiet and shy. She was also paler than a sheet of copy paper, and so awkward. Must be another one of those African AIMericans."
hahaha. i'm sharing this partly because "African AIMerican" is the best new word i've heard this month (besides "lawn mullet"), and partly because i think edgar will get a huge kick out of it! p.s.: "lawn mullet" refers to houses with a tidy front yard and unkempt backyards. it was brought up at the annual meeting of the american dialect society of which i am mostly definitely becoming a member as soon as i finish up my major in vocabulary (special emphasis on newly coined words and "street" slang).
