Mexico: School of discipleship!
My Pastor came over today to talk about Mexico (well, I guess it was yesterday lol) and everything is coming down to where the adventure begins ...I'm gona miss you guyz a ton! but, I'm really excited for what God has in store! I'll be keeping you posted and in my prayers! I don't have all of your address so if you can post them or e-mail....that would help me a ton!!! So that I don't have to search all over cuz, inbetween working everyday and packing not just my bags....i just don't have to much time at all... oh!...and the reason I ask for your mailing address is cuz, I won't have access to a computer nor phone! Just Letters cause if I have a chance to call it will be to the parents from a $2.00 per minute phone or somthing like that. I don't have much time till I leave(17th nine days), I'll be traveling by plane at 8:15A.m. and arrive around 10:35a.m. Please keep me in your prayer and I'll do my upmost best to keep you guyz updated some how....Thankz so much for everything guyz and see you when I get back!

Dear, Family and Friends
It’s been an amazing journey over these past couple of months! God has been so good and has taught/shown me a ton about him, at such a personal level. That it’s changed how I see him and the world. It’s hard to believe that a little over a month ago I was just at “the Mission” in Mexico and now. After much prayer and faith through the application process. I have been accepted (by God’s plan for me) to be apart of “the Mission” School of discipleship (S.O.D.) 2006.
I’m extremely excited for God’s calling of me to be used to bless his people and learn more and more about Him but, I can’t do it on my own! And I want anyone who feels lead to be apart of supporting me in any way, as I head in the direction I’ve been called.
There are many different ways to help support me. One through prayer! Which I’ve enclosed a prayer card that you can stick on your fridge or where every you please!
Even though I’m working a ton right now, it’s not going to cover all of my expenses. They are Travel for back Home($200) and School tuition which includes room, board, and food($750) I’ve already paid two hundred and fifty out of a thousand for that was a requirement when I first sent in my applications and my air fare has also been taken care of going there(the reason why I bought a one way ticket is because I want to be flexible in case God wants me there longer). Any other money given for support will go towards miscellaneous / living costs such as Stamps, Envelopes, supplies needed while at the S.O.D., Soap, Laundry detergent (we hand wash all our clothes), etc…things that are needs not wants! If I am to receive more support then needed for financial needs it will be given to help “the Mission” and the orphan’s.
How to give/send the money is up to you either: 1) through “Light In The Valley Community Church” Please, Indicate on a note that you would like this gift supporting Crystal’s missions trip. Also If your unable to give now but, would like to later. 2)You can send a check to “the Mission” in Mexico to me and I can give it to Carlos (the director) to cash for me (written out to “the Mission”). But, if you would like to receive a receipt for tax purposes…You will receive a tax receipt if sent through light in the valley for there is no guarantee if you send it to “the mission” or 3) Give personally to me.
Another way that would be a huge blessing during my time of separation. Would be Christian books and studies. For we also have a lot of time for reading and doing studies on our own. Any book used or new if your not using it would be much appreciated and shared with other students. Some people have asked me about sending “care packages” or small gifts. Carlos has asked me to let you all know that. If you desire to send gifts/items to please limit the packaging to Manila envelope type or a box that is no larger then the size of a shoe box! Please remember that I’m in a foreign country and any package will be subject to Mexico Boarder Customs. Meaning there is a high chance it will be opened, checked before I receive it (letters won’t be) and possibly taxed (custom’s tax).
Thank-You so much for all your love and support! You guys have all touched my life in many ways that can’t be placed into words. I’m so honored and blessed to have such wonderful brothers and sisters in Christ! I’m going to miss all of you a lot and will be keeping you in my prayers! My goal is to write at least a letter or two a month to let you know how God’s been working at “the mission” and what we’ve been doing. Keep your light shining for Him!
