Thanks, guys.

It never ceases to amaze me that the gothic community professes to be incredibly accepting and open-minded and yet is staunchly close-minded toward Christians. It has gotten to the point where I dread someone discovering my religion because I will immediately be regarded as mentally deficient. I never mention my beliefs because as soon as they're discovered, I'm attacked.

I don't push my religion on others, I don't judge anyone. I never even mention it unless someone asks where I went for my undergrad, and even then I try to skirt around the name and location. I just want to be left to do what I believe without being ridiculed for it. It's both infuriating and saddening that the people with whom I have the most in common refuse to accept me.

I literally had someone from the scene ask me on a date on Saturday then cancel it after he discovered my religion.

It makes me feel really, really alone.
