Well, I haven't posted in a while.
My humans have been hogging the computers lately. It's very hard for a rabbit like me to type-keyboards are made for fingers, not paws. When I fulfill my potential, and become a world leader, I will pass a law requiring equal treatment for bunnies. Don't know what the world will think about me their leader still sleeping with a human at my age, but I will deal with that when I come to it.
I want to talk briefly about President Bush's Supreme Court Nominee, John Roberts.
From all that I have read, one the one hand, he seems to be an intelligent, sucessful litigator, on the other, I worry about his filings regarding Roe vs Wade. He filed a brief purporting that the 1973 ruling was without constitutional merit, and should be overturned.
Now he has stated that Roe vs Wade is "the established law of the land", and he will not fight it.
Isn't it the Supreme Court's job to decide what is constitutional? Aren't they the final arbitors of what is legal and what the founders of this country planned, in terms of freedom, for it's citizens? One of the people who will be allowed to arbitrate what is constitutional has already tried to say that laws the Supreme Court has passed, which guarantees women the right over their own bodies, is unconstitutional.
On another note, he is a devout Catholic, who goes to Mass 3 times a week.
OK, how rational/intelligent is a person who wastes his time and energy in such a way? Anyone who devotes so much feeling into something that doesn't exsist, must be considered a bad choice. His wife is a staunch anti-abortion warrior.
Look at the steps backward this country has taken in civil rights terms since this deeply religious administration has taken over the White House. The ACLU denounces this administration as the worst (in terms of civil rights) since Macarthyism in the 50's.
Frankly, any Supreme Court judge picked by this administration is a suspected member of this rich, all white, old men's club that seems to populate Washington lately.
They should either choose an athiest, or a BUNNY!!!!
