Enzology
Discovery: The first recordings of something-like Split Enz (heard on the Enzology podcast part 1, Tim Finn & Mike & Jeff Chunn) recorded in 1969 sound just like the first Genesis album (From Genesis to Revelation) sans strings (added by the producer) recorded in 1969. Maybe a hundred or a thousand other bands made albums that sounded like this, specifically described as being influenced by the BeeGees, but still I am all wow this morning.
