I managed to get through not one but two Netflix offerings this weekend. First I watched Eddie & the Cruisers, which was okay. Michael Pare is visually pleasing as usual, but his posturing comes off less as charisma and more as um, posturing in this film, unlike Streets of Fire. I probably just waiting too long to watch it. Also, I have a bit less enchantment with the music of the early 60s than I used to. Nevertheless, I'd watch the second one if they had it on NF. Or I'd at least put it in the q. The second netflix selection was I Shot Andy Warhol which I found mesmerizing. Jack and I couldn't stop giggling when the faux Warhol came on the screen. Lili Taylor just was amazing in this film. I can't say it doesn't make me feel good to hear her reading from the SCUM Manifesto.

This reminds me there was something in the latest Bitch which I was going to paraphrase here. That will have to wait until I get home, if I remember.

Why in hell is this tiny ballet shoe $222???

Er, anyways. I also caught, by accident, House of Flying Daggers over at dharshai and booyeah's house. I say accidentally, because I would never seek out a movie like this, but it was pretty good. We also had fun shooting the shit saturday night. Earlier in the day I had wimped out on going to the Kinetic sculpture race. Nothing new there. Sunday we went over to zanramon's to taste the wonders of grilled turkey (thanks to Jewdy) and played a bit of Tiger Woods. I even wondered at one point, is this game out on PS2? No no no. WoW is enough gaming for me.

Oh yeah. As soon as I can get a full group, Gorlash is GOING DOWN. I was after that stupid giant all weekend. Grr.

Things relating to the human body: I have been having terrible acid reflux, and am still not going to a doctor about it, ugh. I have been hearing about birth class from zarobi and partner, and I am here to tell you: I never want to go through that!! Holy shit, the episiotomy rate in Maryland is 98%? WTF people? And they described in detail an epidural. OH HELL NO. I am horrified by the whole idea.
