If IM is blocked, try setting it up for port 80. It's how I get on IM at work myself.

oho! i started using the java client as a workaround, but i didn't know i could set it to run on port 80. do you use trillian?

Yep, trillian at work. Gaim at home. Oscar will run over port 80 as well. It was sweet of AOL to set that up for us. :)

I don't remember HOW my mom does laundry cos she made me do my own since I was tall enough to reach the lid of the washing machine. I think it's safe to say that I have developed my own style.

I wasn't able to get to AIM earlier either, using Trillian, although I was just able to log on now.

I get tons of ingrown hairs around my bikini line, hence I absolutely refuse to shave past a birthmark that's about halfway up my thigh more than 3-4 times a year. (seriously! one of my standard birthday presents to Joe is a shaved bikini line. that's how rare it is...)

But...I have no shame and I swim regularly at a very public local pool and have been known as a hairy bastard.

YMMV, but i say "go for it!" :)

ps... if you shave in the direction of the hair, you're less likely to get ingrown hairs. The shave may not be as smooth, but its worth it :)

oh, i don't shave my legs or pits, but for some reason i feel like i will make more friends and influence more people if i go ahead and fix up the bikini line when swimming. the rest of the time, it's ALL or NOTHING, with the, ahem, cooch. i would say more but am thinking i should have saved this for a post my parents couldn't see.

that said, i don't even remember which direction i went. i think both. doh. i also think it was the razor i was using. tzel told me try rubbing sea salt mixture in at the time of the shaving. *shrug*

Use soothing lotion after shaving! It really helps. I kinda like the shaved look. Look at me, giving into the pressures of society! (And dark haired tall girls really can't get away with hairy legs.)

i think people are missing the fact that i already messed up the shaving process... i need to know what to do with the awful ingrown hairs!

(i know how to shave well, but i was in a pinch)
