This meme has been around for YEARS, and I've always meant to tackle it...but never got around to it for one reason or another:
Some of the expressions are much less consistent that I'd like ("Happy", "Shocked" and "Confident" rub me the wrong way, and "Disgusted" was a boring copout), but overall I'm really, REALLY pleased with it...and even more pleased with myself for knuckling down and finishing it.
I've picked up a freelance blogging job for a local business, and that data entry gig has cycled back around, so it seems like I'm either writing furiously or fiddling about in access. This was a nice, needed break from typing. It felt good to stretch the doodle muscles. It might be fun to give this another go in a few months, say, with Lynn or Asharru (or one of the dudes? Perish the thought) to see how expressions differentiate by personality. I'm not sure if some of these came out so cartoony because that's my style, or because it's Neph and she's kind of a walking caricature of human emotion. Either way, it'd be an interesting experiment!
