THEY DIDN'T FIND ANYTHING!!

Liver functions: Ace
Pancreatic functions: Totally fine (glucose back up to 101)
MRI: a few post-seizure hotspots, but nothing at all indicative of growths or congenital defects.
CSF (spinal tap): No encephalitis or other auto-immune infections or inflammation.

HE'S OKAY.

Well, no, vets are very cautious about labeling anything idiopathic epilepsy, but there is nothing there that's killing him, no tumorous shit or age-inappropriate cancers or whoa-we-can't-fix-that congenital dilemmas.

This is the best possible news, even if he is the saddest looking thing.  They had to shave a patch off the back of his head (spinal tap), his side (EKG monitoring) and his leg (IV drip).  But he seems normal and, if the incessant face-rubs are anything to judge by, very happy to be home.

health, cats
