Aaaagh Craigslist
I've begun to put out feelers for Alex. So far, Craigslist has been a bust. Not only are animals being posted at such a rate that she's halfway down the front page within half an hour, but half those posts are ridiculous crazy-pants ranting. I'd almost forgotten the Pets section's ability to piss me off. I wrote out this big rant, but it wasn't terribly coherent...so if you're interested in a rage-binge, go take a look at the Raleigh listings. Long story short, people, this is not supposed to be a forum for judging others, parading your morality around or airing out your favorite conspiracy theories.
I guess the next step is to push her picture around work and see if anyone happens to be looking for a kitten. I wish JCC summer camp were still in swing, then maybe I could have put fliers up at their building.
If I don't get any nibbles by next Thursday, I'll have to take her back. As much as I hate that option, she needs to be exposed to potential adopters. I'm just worried about exposure to potential illnesses as well, but nobody's seeing her in my apartment, and she's not getting any smaller or cuter.
This part sucks.
