Raleigh!

My sister and her marine will be in town this weekend! Can anyone suggest something amusing to do? Would anyone else care to join us? We are rather amusing people (okay, I'm not, but Katherine will be there after her PRAXIS certification exam, so she's bound to be high on Aderol and adrenaline. Good times!). I meant for ideas! Socially inept people are welcome to come and bumble along. I'll feel less silly if I'm the only one blurting out questionably humorous things.

(Seriously, ask Nick about the spoon, closet and ovaries comment I made in front of a friend's date. Never saw the girl again)

Is that the comment you've made that was something along the lines of having your internal-girly bits carved out with a spoon and put on the black market? And if so, I'd rather consider it an effort on your part to make sure your friend was dating the right type of girl -- the ones with the slightly twisted senses of humor are the most interesting!

I don't think there are too many events going on this weekend. General fun things are:
-Hiking at Umstead if the weather is nice
-Raleigh Times or Flying Saucer for booze and foods (yes, I know Coral doesn't get to have booze, but it would make the rest of us more amusing.)
-Afternoon tea at the Pineapple Tea Room in Apex (we could make the Marine wear a funny ladies hat!)
-Having a cookout at the park
-Going dancing at Legends
-Bollywood movies at the Galaxy
-As a last resort, there is always the Monster Trucks in Greensboro. Could be either awful or hilarious. Or both.

There is also a Charlie Chaplin film showing at the museum on Friday. Mark of Zorro is next week, and I am so going to that!

The winter museum films aren't quite as fun as the summer series, where you get to sit outside on the lawn and have a picnic while you watch, but it is still neat and different.

I vote for hiking, tasty food and Bollywood movies! If the weather is bad, we can forego Umstead and do afternoon tea instead! What the heck, I might drag them there on Sunday anyway, just to see the Marine in a veiled hat.

It would have to be Saturday, since Coral and Zac have to head back to Wilm Sunday evening. But you can always join us after work! Katherine is in a similar boat, with her morning exams.
