Okay so....
Boyfriend and I are moving. Why? Because his step-dad's a dick.
Seriously.
A week and a half ago, Boyfriend and I were headed out to Target to pick up some foodstuff for work, since he had two gift cards (thanks to his loverly aunt). His step-dad proceeded to stop us and tell us it was "time for us to move out."
Why?
Because we don't take out dishes out of the drainboard and put them away fast enough.
Let that sink in for a minute.
Boyfriend called step-dad out on the fact that he's a lazy sack and leaves dishes soaking in the sink. His response?
Well, I'm busier than you.
I seriously almost fucked him up. That's the sorriest excuse for being a lazy sack I've ever heard. Apparently, being "busier" than Boyfriend and I constitutes falling asleep in front of the television downstairs.
I'm sorry, I work a full-time job, too. Get over yourself already, asshole.
So Boyfriend and I are looking for a new place to live. We're looking for either a house/condo to rent, or an apartment. We're trying to keep our options open because we just don't know what we're looking for right now.
I'm so motherfucking pissed about the whole situation. Or at least, how the subject came about.
Had step-dad said, "I think it's time you guys moved out. You've been here almost two years and you both have steady jobs and blah blah blah you're getting on your feet," I doubt I'd have had a problem with it (or at least, less of an issue). But because he brought it up the way he did...
I hope he's not expecting rent on the 15th.
He also removed Boyfriend from the car insurance without advance notice. Thankfully he's covered until the 25th, or Boyfriend would be driving around without insurance right now.
Asshole.
Anyway, I guess it's a sort-of good thing, because Boyfriend and I can actually start living our lives together without someone looking over our shoulder all the time (read: we can walk around naked without worrying when someone will be home, lol).
Also, we're sort-of talking about starting a family. It's been a few weird conversations, the gist of which are: we've been waiting because you're not ready. No, we've been waiting because you're not ready. And so on and so forth. lol
I really, really hate moving.
