Wow, another entry in a short amount of time.  The world must be coming an end.

Anyway, I've just finished looking around at
fanficrants, and I find myself worrying about the state of mankind (which is usually what happens when I visit that comm).  In but a few days, I've come across at least three post that ranted about poor spelling and grammar.  Now I'm no writer (my skills are on par of a dyslexic ten year old), but I would think that if your going to spend time on a story, and post it for the whole world to see, maybe you would want to make sure that you don't come off as an idiot.  Trust me, if you base a story around a certain fandom, and fail to spell the name of the characters right, you look like an idiot (and no, I'm not referring to official alternate spellings).  I know for some, it's hard to see errors in ones writing, and it may be difficult to find a beta, but really, is it so hard to remember that "sole" and "soul" are two different words.

Besides, after reading the kerfuffle over whether "dragged" or "drug" are appropriate for the past tense of "drag", good grammar and spelling spares the world of a lot of headaches.

PS:  I did finish my paper, around 2:00 am, and now I just want to crawl into bed and sleep for several days.
Unfortunately, I have finals...damn.
