My roomates love the RENT soundtrack, and now I love it too-I figure I'll get around to actually watching the movie or play eventually, but the score...the score is phenominal, and enough for now.
I actually have things a lot to do today, so I have to get to work, but like Maggie I am now addicted to LJ so I had to post :)
I got a call from Derek on Sunday night and I have decided that even though he's not the guy for me, he makes me laugh and I will no longer delete his number from my phone because I will be his friend. Friends are good, I could always use another one, and I am no longer pissed off at him for, well, it's a long story. So I'll give him a call, and try this whole 'friends' thing. Life's too short to be angry for too long at anyone, so I'm trying forgiveness on for size, and it's actually made me a lot happier (though I believe myself to be someone that's pretty happy in general.)
speaking of which, I routinely check up on some of my friends by visiting their websites, and during my rounds yesterday I discovered that someone I thought had no idea how much he hurt me as a friend and a person actually did realize it, and regrets it. wow, that made me really happy, and I realized then how much it had bugged me, though I had forgiven him a long time ago.
like i said, life's too short to let that stuff weigh you down, right?
Dr. Vickery is in town, so I'm gonna meet up with him and some other Alma students in Philly after class tonight. Which means it's gonna be a long day, but a good one :)
Here's a little RENT, I can't get it out of my head:
Mark:
To days of inspiration
Playing hooky, making something out of nothing
The need to express -
To communicate,
To going against the grain,
Going insane
Going mad
To loving tension, no pension
To more than one dimension,
To starving for attention,
Hating convention, hating pretension
Not to mention of course,
Hating dear old mom and dad
To riding your bike,
Midday past the three piece suits
To fruits - to no absolutes -
To Absolut - to choice -
To the Village Voice -
To any passing fad
All:
La vie Boheme
