Craaaaazy Russian business practice - guy owns a restaurant, hotel, and large shop in a prime location, on the main street in the city. Woken up at 5am by an invasion of black-clad para-militaries who tell him it's not his property anymore. Somebody with a lot of money and (therefore)political clout has bribed officials to replace his name on the property deeds.
Out in the sticks, another case. Workers in a factory own shares in the factory, and collectively run it. Except one day a businessman in Moscow - nobody knows who - becomes the owner and their shares aren't recognised. Da ush.
In more positive news, you know when you've attained a new language level when you pull a sickie in that language :P
