Man, it's true what they say - ham DOES smell like rotting pig flesh. It's probably because that's what it is. Something of a truism perhaps, but it's just that whenever I've been to a butchers, or even passed one, THAT smell - associated in my mind with gutted piggy bodies hanging by their hind legs - is exactly the same as the stench that hits me when I open a pack of ham. Mmmm, ham though. With cheese. You can't beat it.

Jodie Albert (Debbie in Hollyoaks) is possibly the fittiest fittie ever to grace this spinning hunk of crusty magma we call home. I can't sing her praises too much, but it's all about her legs. Legs, legs, legs. Yes.

Went for a run today, at 6.30am, to try and get in shape for no apparent reason. So I ended up REALLY TIRED and I couldn't run that far anyway because I GOT KNACKERED real quick like. But it's all to do with my sudden interest in Tai Chi and Kung Fu, which started yesterday. As it seems pretty slow to become a Shaolin monk, I thought I'd go for a jog instead. But I do intend to one day learn the secret art of northern preying mantis.

I've been thinking about travelling a lot recently. I want to do a trek or several around those funky Himilaya mountains, and climb a few of the bigguns such as K2, Kilimanjaroooooo (obviously I'm not just talking about the Himilaya any more), the Matterhorn, wherever the hell that is. Yep. And boss around: Nepal, Tibet, Laos, Cambodia (staying on the roads and off the mines), Vietnam. That's in the future though. While in Russia I hope to at the very least hit eastern europe and at the very most check out the 'stans -Kazakh, Turkmeni, Tajiki, and the other one- and possibly Mongolia, Japan and China. I think at least one of those last 3 will come with the trans-siberian rail ticket I hope to get as a Christmas present. Also Russia has a bit to offer -not as much as its size suggests- and I'm mainly thinking of Vladivostok which apparently rivals San Francisco - we'll see, because that's another place I'd like to visit.

Yep, so America - well, it's gotta be the wild beyonds of Canada which otherwise seems pretty dull, if safe. New York, but only to drop by, never to live, and then its rooooad trip down the West Coast! Maybe. But at least a visit to somewhere there. My Mexican friend recommends Mexico, which is funny because he hates it and now lives in England, so I could hit there but I don't really care. Then we're talking some awesome adventures in South America - rainforesty type stuff, looking at Aztec temples, canoeing in Chile, trekking in the Andes, visiting some places that I've read about in books. Ideally I'd really like to motorcycle it (in a cheesey, Che Guevara/Ewan MacGregor way) but I don't reckon I will. Then I want to see Cuba, which I might combine with a charity across-Cuba bike ride that I'm vaguely aware happens.

Pfff, and finally, we're going to round stuff off with a trip to the Northern African coast (Egypt really, but possibly Tunisia again) and if I ever get a looong holiday somewhere in the Cook Islands would be ideal.

And so that's my life plan for travelling. For most of my life though I'll have an awesome job and just keep reading, reading, reading to finally do some sort of doctorate when I'm like, a million. Maybe through the OU. Maybe when I'm in Russia. Ooooh, there's a though - I'll go research that.

With all that buzzing around in my head as just a small part of my general life plan that is slowly forming, I feel a little bewildered. Still, it shows life's exciting.
