Yesterday, deciding to take a break from work, my friend, Paul, and I started to read. Yes - while he whipped out the Financial Times to track his indexes and what have you, I sneaked a peak at Dostoyevky's The Idiot. Along comes a manager, spots us doing this and tells us to get back to work.
But then this morning we come in and -BAM- two really nasty long-winded e-mails about committment and dedication and how we might lack it have been sent to us because we took an unauthorised 10 minute break to read. Well, the thing that annoyed me was if we had been talking, having a laugh, smoking or surfing the net I know she wouldn't have batted an eyelid; but because we were reading she goes off on one.
Cunt.
Anyway, I e-mailed her back saying "sorry, but it's a very good book" and Paul had a massive essay-like bender at her and now she's blanking him.
Well, I haven't updated in a while... Last week I went snowboarding at Mount Pirin in Bulgaria; an awesome experience! I only vaguely injured myself on the last day when I got cocky and thought I had some skills; going at speed decided to try doing a jump on this mound of powder; ended up being thrown in the air, cartwheeling, bouncing on my head twice and rolling for quite a while. The only downside was I broke my friend's gloves: the ones he specifically said, "Don't break my gloves, they're an expensive present" and I replied, "how the hell do you BREAK gloves?".
I gave some thought to what I'm doing with my life; I want to go to Nepal for 6 weeks and teach English to little kids - perhaps monks; if I enjoy that I'll apply for this JET Programme - teaching in Japan for a year; then move into real life; by the time I'm 30 I want a sweet, awesome pad of my own..
Anyway, I'm going out now.
Later.
