I got a story it's almost finished, all I need is someone to tell it to... maybe that's you
I had such a relaxing weekend, and I got a lot done personally. A lot of house-cleaning (so much that I ran out of cleaning supplies and have to pick it back up tomorrow after I can go to the store) and I finished my first knitting project actually following a pattern (just a dishcloth with a paw-print design, but I was so excited!). I'm ready to start something a little more challenging, I think. Who wants something knitted? I need the practice/ideas and will totally make you something (as long as you don't mind it looking imperfect, I'm still a newbie). I've actually found patterns for TARDIS dishcloths and one to make a stuffed Dalek. Geeks like making things, I guess :]
My boss got me a gift card to Wal-Mart for Christmas, and I used it to buy something I'd been hankering after for a while: a portable external hard-drive. I'm ridiculously excited about it, it defies reason.
Something else that excites me? IT'S PORN BATTLE TIME AGAIN. Even though I'm already working on a little something, I always get all jazzed for the prompts on PB; they provide excellent story inspiration. VERY EXCITING.
Sign-ups have started for spn_j2_bigbang. IDEK about this; I signed up last year but wasn't able to make the time for it, because it coincided with my last/heaviest semester of undergrad. I ostensibly have more time this year, since I'm not in school, but I am working, so I dunno. I'd be working on the same story (RJ2R, for those of you who remember it) so it's not like I'd have to come up with something new. I'm thinking about it. I have to get this GK story finished first, and then we'll see.
Crock Pot meals are tasty, easy, and excellent, but they are also like all-day cockteases. My house smells so good right now due to the roast that's been slow-cooking away since just before noon, but I can't eat for at least another hour. My stomach has blue balls so bad right now.
