Got this e-mail from Guster today...

our booking agent does not lie. the band plans to take some time off from touring, and we don't know yet how long that will last. if you get back to us in the fall or winter of this year, we can tell you if we know what their plans will be for early next year.

This is bad, I don't know who I'm going to get for this concert. I mean, I need to book now...but no one is booking until the fall. I don't think I can wait that long because, in terms of sponsors, there's still so much to get done. But, I guess I don't have any choice...we'll just have to book late and sell a ton of tickets. I expect to see you all there.
...even if it's not Radiohead.
...or some frosted hair American Idol.
In other news...
Work is just plain fun some days...especially when Kevin, the assistant manager, is on duty. He just seems to like to have fun. We had a conversation today about artists releasing covers on albums. We decided that Jeff Buckley was the exception to the rule that it shouldn't be done because in Kevin's words he "ripped songs new assholes". Not exactly how I would have put it but I agree none the less.
Hulstyn and I hung out. It was fun. I enjoyed it...incase you didn't get that from the "it was fun" statement.
I didn't spell check this...I typed it in the LJ editor for once instead of Word so I promise nothing.
I started writing, so far I have like 40 pages and it's pretty fun. I mean I tried to write a book with Micha before but it sucked and it was really only so I could hang out with her.
