I know there is an LJ community specifically for this, but I reckon my Flist Fu, is better than a random community when it comes to book knowledge and especially when it comes to sci-fi book knowledge ( Read more... )

Sadly not!

Mind, I am now wondering about a series set in a broken England, where technology ceased to work and all the adults regress mentally to the Dark Ages.

Centres on a couple of kids escaping (they jump a fishing boat and flee to France, IIRC), then in a later book they come back. They get parachuted or helicoptered in with a couple of volunteers, get a classic Rolls Royce from the Motor Museum & set out to try to find the cause...

Good stuff, mostly, as I recall.

Those at least, are Peter Dickinson's Changes books. They are The Devil's Children, Heartsease and The Weathermonger...
