I am back from Illinois and am alive. The trip was fun for the first two days, which consisted of my grandma's 90th birthday party. I got to see family I haven't seen for ages and meet family I never knew I had. Good times. But towards the end of the party, I started to get a stomach ache. A small group went back to my grandma's room for an after party chat, during which I got sick in the bathroom, twice. So I went back to my and my mom's room to rest, were I got sick four more times, getting severe stomach cramps, and diarrhea. Lovely, I know. So finally my mom and I decided to go to the ER. Got there, filled out papers, waited, told information, waited, got an IV, threw up again so hard I blacked out and convulsed (as my mom told me). I was only out for a few seconds, and I saw the doctors come running in. Had a weird dream while I was out, though.... So passing out bumped me up on the doctor's priority list (good bit of advice), so I got drugs the stopped the pain and the nausea. Yay. Went home around 2am the next day. Yay for my first stay in the ER.

So, being sick, I didn't eat for several days (lost 5 pounds!), then my grandma, my 90 year old grandma, came down with it. I felt so bad I got her sick too. At the ER (yes, we went again) my mom started feeling icky, too, so we gave her some of my prescription for the nausea. She got better, and so did Grandma after a while.

Since none of us felt like eating, we didn't. We ate maybe 4 meals after all of this for the rest of the week.

Worst time EVER in Illinois, but I did get to see family.
