First staff meeting, and I already got the lifeguard of the week. About how it was last year too. Except last year when I tied for it the first week, I had to rock paper scissors for it, and this year both me and Tanner got the award. People said that I showed great enthusiam, energy, and they said that I wore sunscreen. Whatever floats one's metaphorical boat. All I can say is that today for safety it was "Reach with a stick day" and that is one of my absolute favorites. No, I think I can safely say it's my favorite safety topic, and it's a travesty that I only get to do safety once because I have a comp stroke class and a parent/child class so I get to miss safety for those. But the one time that I did do safety, during my level 2 class, I had a lot of fun. I experimented last year with what to do, and now I can do it like a pro. Since I'm getting paid to do it, mayhaps I am a pro at it.
Anyway, I'm tired, I worked a long day today and I'm going to get some sleep.
