The incredible story of one Mr. Green.
Who murdered his host and slipped away unseen.
The police arrived to gather clues and glean
the happenings in and around the scene.

There was a guest list, that was clue one.
Six people up for a weekend of fun.
All that ended with the shot of a gun
Suspects were locked in the study, and dared to run.

The cops grabbed one guest, to interrogate first,
she was snobbish and rude, probably the worst
On the way to the hall, she yelled and cursed.
This type of woman had to be coerced.

Miss Peacock-her name- was a regular priss
Why would anyone add her to a guest list.
Despite her beligerance, it was hard to miss
the cast around her broken right wrist

So, back to the study, cop and lady walked with care
Opened the door and they had to stare.
No Mr. Green was was standing there
just four people, a window, and the cool night air.

Run Green did, he made it away
Out of the country forever to stay
with the money he stole he just may
Forget the events that transpired that day.
