Yesterday in my Psych class we were talking about different mind-body interactions and Prof. Thompson brought up alcohol. He told us how studies have shown that the way that you act when you are drunk is actually more due to your own expectations of drunken behavior than the actual chemicals in the alcohol. It's a way of inducing a desired psychological state via bodily means (i.e. an excuse for acting a certain way). So, this girl raises her hand and asks a question.
*paraphrasing*
Girl: "I don't think that's true. I mean, if a friend says that she really wouldn't have slept with that guy if she hadn't been drunk, I believe her. I mean, cause she really wouldn't have. It had to be the alcohol."
Professor: "Well, if that's what your friend NEEDS to believe, then fine."
Man, it was so funny. He basically called that girl's friend a skank in front of the whole class.
