A case for the death of Interesting Music

Jul 28, 2010 16:54

Out came the tape. It rolled around a shape that wasn't quite human, wasn't quite anything. But we all read everything clearly, police line do not cross.

The pubs are dead and the lights are not quite right. The boys, they're all just mostly drunk.

People mourn the sweaty nights, there's hardly nobody to sweat for these days. I mourn the overcrowded music coops, the time when it took 15 minutes for the red horse to get to you, because the place was crowded like a motherfucker. Because the music was good.

I mourn the hot bodies, the blank stares, the ludicrous state that made people look loose in the attic and pained in the chest. I mourn sexed up sons and bitches, and raw voices, I mourn the ringing in your ears and fiery shots of pure alcohol with 9% libido.

Interesting music died. At track 11- 3:29.
