A moment of worry.
Got my RIF (Reduction In Force) Notice today. I figured it was coming but it still blows. This essentially means that I am not promised a job next year. Last year I was worried but I had trouble taking it seriously since most of it was political grand-standing. This year there is a significantly more legitimate money problem across the state and they have sent a RIF notice to a LOT of people. This is not something I should probably dedicate a lot of time and worry to as there isn't much I can do about it one way or another, but I really haven't the foggiest idea what I will do if I am not hired back as there will be NO districts hiring teachers next year. At least the worry is vague as opposed to something more concrete? I dunno. Fuckery.
