1. Am over my little "everyone hates me woe!" fit from yesterday. I'm hormonal and sometimes I'm a little sensitive and let strangers hurt my feelings. So, you know. Whatever. I'm over it.
2. Two more sleeps and I can finally post my SPN big bang fic! You guys! You have no idea, you guys, how much it's killing me that I had to wait two months to share with you because I? I am not a model of restraint. It's Sam being a stupid teenage boy, and you guys know how much I love boys being stupid and teenaged and angsty.
3. My favorite thing about Panic's Pretty. Odd. album? The song titles. Because they actually relate back to the songs. I am an old woman, OK? And I cannot keep sentence-long song titles straight and I end up just saying things like, "I like that one that's, um, the fucking one with the goddamn. Princess Bananas*. What's the one with the--" [waves hand in the air ineffectually]
And then Princess Bananas says, "The one you like is I Constantly Thank God for Esteban."
And I say, "How the fuck is that the title of a song?"
And she says, "It's a reference to The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou."
"Why?" I ask.
"I don't know."
"The song is not about a motherfucking mythical shark. If the song were about a motherfucking mythical shark and featured Bill Murray in some way then the title would make sense but as it is, I think they just titled all their songs that way to annoy and confuse me."
And then Princess Bananas tells me I'm old and that I should probably go outside and yell at the goddamn kids to get off my lawn.
*only I use her real name instead of calling her Princess Bananas. Mainly because her real name sounds better when I'm being whiny and demanding
